Who stumbled in here because the Slutty Vegan line was too long and who’s here because they know Firewall is the truth? Food this good takes time, so we’re content making up “guess who” games to entertain ourselves at this Mediterranean pizzeria, a small, mostly takeout establishment on Ralph David Abernathy. While Firewall makes a standup wood-fired pie (that made our best pizza list), their overstuffed pita sandwiches steal the show. Cooked in the pizza oven, the pita bread has a deliciously smoky flavor. Then it's jam-packed with flavorful fillings, like the Flying V’s mix of Israeli-style hummus, seasoned roasted cauliflower, sweet pecans, and tangy pickled vegetables.
