Persona is over-the-top and dramatic, in a showbizzy kind of way. To get to the Lower Nob Hill basement bar, you descend a staircase underneath a mirror lit up by neon Persona signs. Inside, it’s brighter than the Times Square ball drop, and made up of about 85% reflective surfaces. On top of being swanky as hell, this place is also spacious enough that it’s pretty easy to get a table or couch, even if you’re drinking with a crowd. So spread out with your going out crew when other bars in the area are full, and sip Thai tea and palo santo-infused gin cocktails while listening to DJs or watching the TVs behind the bar.
