Johnny Doughnuts' version of a cronut (dubbed here a "crodough") is reason enough to make a donut-coffee detour. It’s got fluffy layers with a thick, sweet cream filling, and is the injection of sugar you’ll need to finally conquer all the errands you’ve been putting off. The glossy, white-tiled Pacific Heights donut shop (with a few other locations throughout the Bay) also serves other donuts like vanilla old fashioneds and cinnamon twists, though they tend to lean dry—so stick with the crodoughs and you’ll leave happy.
