Sunday C&C Eatery
Included In
Big things, small packages. Sunday C&C Eatery started as a food truck in Miami before popping up at Smorgasburg, eventually finding a permanent home in a snug little kiosk at the outdoor The Bowery Market. It’s a shack, essentially, but this shack produces some very good plant-based food. Grab one of the stools arranged in front of the register, and eat a sprawling plate of fried lion’s mane mushrooms served escabeche-style with a vinegar-soaked pile of leeks, bokchoy, and bell pepper. Other options include crispy yuca bites served over a pool of mojo verde, a papa rellena with crispy kataifi, and rotating specials like a chicken parm sandwich dripping with cashew mozz and parsley bechamel. Keep this place in mind for a quick, vegan lunch, and don’t skip dessert.
