Jeepney, originally a New York Filipino restaurant, now has a stall in Wynwood’s 1-800-Lucky. This is good news, because their food is great. It includes dishes like the Lechon Express, a plate of twice-cooked pork belly with a crispy skin that melts in your mouth. They serve an excellent sisig, a hot skillet of various pig parts topped with an egg you get to mix in yourself. And they sometimes have a great burger on special, which comes with a patty made from ground beef and cured pork sausage, a sweet challah bun, and an egg.
