Tasty Zone is a spot in San Gabriel turning out great Sichuanese food. The first thing you should order is the salt and pepper shrimp - deep-fried shrimp, skewered and then smothered with scallions, sesame, and dried chilies. Close behind the shrimp, for us, is the toothpick lamb, similarly covered in dried peppers, and with enough cumin to clear your sinuses for a week. Add on a side of salty, garlicky green beans, and you’ll be set. The portions are huge, so expect to have some leftovers.
